The very first thing I want to do this month since it is something super special to my heart! We have been able to donate gifts to our assisted living facility here three years in a row so that the residence there have a gift for the holidays and just get some extra love!!
I worked in a skilled nursing facility + long term care for about two years and I know firsthand that so many of the residents there that are there long-term do not get even as much as visitors during the holidays, let alone a gift!! One of my favorite parts while I work there was working with activities so that each resident felt like they had somebody there to spend time with!!
We like to bring the kids and give out gifts and play games with the residence each Christmas!! we have a big goal this year so we’re starting this early!
ANYYYYY DONATION AMOUNT IS HUGE FOR THEM! Each bundle to give them well include one product, a pair of fuzzy socks, and some will have candy but they all will be wrapped up all cute with a handwritten note with your name! Wrenn absolutely loved writing the notes and drawing pictures for each of the residents!! It puts THEEEEE BIGGEST SMILE ON MY FACE to be able to spend time with the residence, show the kids what giving means and most of all see how happy it makes these residents do not only get a gift but a visit from people that don’t even know them!
